Comrade Trotskii's address to Macovitch's division of the 5th Red Army, 1918:

"Those peasants and workers, who have sold themselves to the White Guards and voluntarily do not throw down their weapons will be shot, along with those dear sons of the bourgeoisie, officers, lawyers and landlords. Bourgeois conspirators, foreign agents-provateurs and White Guards officers will be exterminated without exception. Do not allow the enemy to move a step further! Tear Kazan from his hands! Drown him in the Volga! Forward to Kazan."
